Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to lead and support the planning, analysis, and design of drainage systems for transportation infrastructure. You will prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and contract documents, and perform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to guide decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with Water Resources specialization and a P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related discipline.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for registration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in water resources and drainage for transportation projects.
• Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and drainage design.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and coordinate multidisciplinary projects.
• Knowledge of Ontario regulatory, municipal, and transportation drainage standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support planning, analysis, and detailed design of drainage systems for transportation infrastructure.
• Prepare drainage design calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Design and assess storm sewer networks, culverts, open channels, LID measures.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to support assessments and design decisions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams; support permitting and regulatory submissions.
