Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Engineer in Ontario to lead municipal water and wastewater projects, reporting to the Manager of Water & Waste. The role blends project delivery with business development, including coordinating across distributed teams and building relationships with municipalities in the GTA region.

The candidate will manage scope, budget, and schedule while mentoring staff and contributing to proposals and client discussions. Ontario P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Applied Hydraulics or Hydrology (asset).
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in municipal water/wastewater and utility projects.
• Experience with large pumping stations, water/wastewater treatment facilities, or related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and deliverables.
• Manage budget, risk, and schedule; ensure multidisciplinary coordination.
• Prepare technical documentation (equipment specs, design criteria, P&IDs).
• Develop procurement packages and mentor team members.
• Support business development with proposals, pricing, and client presentations.
