Job description

Compensation: $19-$27 per hour (full-time / permanent)

The Job – Water Damage Technician

At On Side, Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) respond to incidents involving burst pipes, blocked drains, sewer backups, or other water-related disasters. Understanding the urgency and working with customers in a caring, calm, and empathetic manner are essential to success!

Working as a team, WDTs clean up the mess to restore properties to their pre-disaster condition.

What you bring:

A WDT brings a proactive, 'get it done!' attitude and various skills, including:

• Mechanical aptitude—ability to understand how things work
• Attention to detail and curiosity
• Organizational skills and punctuality—knowing where your tools are and managing your time effectively
• Physical fitness—capable of heavy lifting and working in tight spaces
• Friendliness and teamwork spirit
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
• Ability to pass On Side’s criminal record check
• Intermediate proficiency in English or French (QC)

Experience in demolition, carpentry, plumbing, construction, landscaping, or related fields can be beneficial but is not required.

Additional qualifications that can help:

• IICRC Water Damage Technician Certification (training provided if needed)

Note: Disaster response can occur at any time, requiring a rotating schedule including 24/7 on-call work.
