Job summary

Musselwhite Mine in Northwestern Ontario seeks a Water and Closure Lead to oversee water management, closure planning, and environmental programs. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you will coordinate data collection, modeling with GoldSim, regulatory compliance, and cross-team collaboration to minimize risk and ensure permits are met.

You will lead a team of consultants and internal staff, manage budgets, and support Indigenous partnerships while advancing sustainable mine closure

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in water resource science, environmental management, biology or similar.
• 5–10 years of experience in environmental field (mining focus an asset).
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee water management, closure planning, and risk assessment.
• Lead data management for GoldSim water balance and related models.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and stakeholder engagement with regulators and Indigenous communities.
• Supervise consultants and internal staff to meet project milestones.
