Job summary

Gibraltar Mine, part of Trekor Metals Limited, seeks an Environmental Coordinator in Mcleese Lake, BC to support monitoring, data analysis, and regulatory reporting for one of Canada's largest open-pit copper mines.

You will oversee surface water, groundwater, hydrometric, reclamation, and field instrumentation programs, collaborate with operations, and promote environmental stewardship and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of environmental experience.
• Proficient technical writing and communication.
• Working knowledge of provincial and federal regulations as they relate to mining and the environment.
• ArcGIS proficiency is an asset.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Valid Canadian driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead Trekor-Gibraltar Field Monitoring program onsite, in accordance with the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia and applicable permits/regulations.
• Preparation of Annual Environmental Report.
• Preparation of Quarterly Water Quality Report.
• Preparation of internal Monthly Environmental Report.
• Management of ML/ARD monitoring program.
• Management of Hydrometric Program.
• Supervise Environmental Monitors and Technicians.
• Coordinate Sampling and Environmental Inspection Schedule.
• Manage water, air, and soil quality database.
• Manage meteorological data and support equipment maintenance.
• Support permitting and compliance activities.
