Job summary

AQUATECH is seeking a WasteWater Operator/Superintendent level I (level II preferred) for an industrial site in Calgary. You will operate and maintain the WWTP daily, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for plant operations.
• Manage inventory of parts, chemicals, and consumables.
• Create maintenance requests.
• Compile data from daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling.
• Perform maintenance tasks as requested by supervisor.
• Perform laboratory analysis and reporting.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, annual reports.
• Train and mentor plant staff.
• Participate in meetings (in-person & remote).
• Adhere to health and safety program.

Job Description

Operator Main Responsibilities

You're responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP. This position will report to the area Operations Manager

• The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
  • Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring and reporting processadjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facility;
  • Provide operational support & troubleshooting for plant operations;
  • Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts, chemicals, & consumables;
  • Create maintenance requests ;
  • Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required;
  • Perform maintenance tasks as requested by the supervisor;
  • Perform laboratory analysis and reporting;
  • Preparation weekly, monthly, annual reports as required;
  • Provide training and mentorship to plant operational staff;
  • Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely);
  • Participate, enforce, and comply with all aspects of the company's health and safety program.

Hours of Work (+ on-call)

Monday8am-4:30pm

Tuesday 8am-12pm

Thursday8am-4:30pm

Friday 8am-12pm

Note: if you want to do more hours (+40 hrs/w), Aquatech can give you more responsabilities in the Calgary area working in PM (Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday)

• Current WWTP Level I min (proof of certification is required) / Level II is preferred;
• Ability to lift 25 kg (55lb);
• Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge;
• Ability to work under pressure quickly and efficiently;
