Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Warranty Engineer to oversee daily warranty tickets, track parts and costs, and drive cross-functional problem solving with Engineering and Quality teams in Markham, Ontario.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 1.5+ years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
• 1.5+ years in engineering or hardware/software troubleshooting/development.
• Able to communicate with external customers and suppliers under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warranty tickets and prepare reports.
• Track warranty returned parts and ensure response times.
• Lead containment actions with Engineering or Manufacturing as needed.
• Generate problem-solving reports (8D, 5Y, Fishbone) for internal/external customers.
• Report and help reduce warranty concerns with Magna-produced end users.
• Create warranty presentations for management and customers to set priorities.
• Guide Warranty Technicians in analysis methods and review results.
• Participate in CIP activities (cost reduction, warranty reduction).
• Maintain customer charges trackers and decision on charges.
