Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join our safety-conscious team in Woodstock, Ontario. This is a great opportunity for individuals who value safety and have a friendly, outgoing attitude to excel in a warehouse environment.

First 90 days on afternoon shift, then rotating to other shifts (afternoon, day, night). You will operate electric sit-down counterbalance trucks, stage and load products, and maintain inventory while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance truck experience is required.
• Strong reading and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule and overtime availability.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric counterbalance trucks.
• Stage and sort products for loading.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Sort and place parts in racks or designated areas.
• Move materials within the warehouse.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Package or kit finished product for shipping.
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system.
• Quality control and inspection of products.
• Identify and remove damaged products on receipt.
• Assemble customer orders and relay to packing/shipping.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Assist supervisor with other tasks as assigned.

Job description

*Counterbalance truck experience required. Candidate must be able to pass an equipment test. All machines at this location are sit-down, electric Toyota counterbalance trucks.*

Multiple Shifts

• First 90 days will work on afternoon shift, then will be placed on any of the shifts listed below.
• Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00PM - 11:00PM or 5:45PM-1:45AM
• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00AM-3:00PM
• Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00PM-7:00AM

Pay

$22.40 - $25.40 per hour

Major Responsibilities

• Operating electric counterbalance trucks
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system
• Quality control
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Maintains inventory records
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Experience with counterbalance trucks required
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete a Penske employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) are required
