Job summary

North American Services Inc. is seeking Warehouse Technicians to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. You will receive, store, and issue parts for maintenance and operations, while maintaining accurate inventory and organized warehouse spaces.

The role offers a combined rate up to $37.17/hr, plus growth opportunities. Schedule is 14x14 12-hour days/nights (paid for 11.5 hours); accommodations are not provided, with bus transportation offered from Fort McMurray to site and

Qualifications

  • Must be familiar with inventory software.
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse, inventory, or parts technician experience preferred.
  • Experience working in industrial, construction, or mining environments considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and inventory tracking skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous warehouse experience is required.
  • Previous forklift and loader experience required.
  • Experience in the mining industry is required.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 license.

Position Scope

Position Scope

NASI is seeking a Warehouse Technicians to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing parts and materials to maintenance and operations teams while maintaining accurate inventory and warehouse organization.

For this role, NASI offers a combined rate of up to $37.17/hr as well as room for growth!

Where You’ll Be Working

  • Site: Syncrude Aurora
  • Schedule: 14 x14 - 12-hour days and nights (paid for 11.5 hours).
  • Accommodations: Camp is not provided.
  • Work Duration: 6 month +, may be extended/opportunity to roll into another project
  • Tentative start date: ASAP
  • Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site.
  • Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week

Please note that this is a CLAC position and candidates working under NASI will be under the collective agreement.

If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:

  • Provide a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract
  • Valid CSO or BSO (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Silica Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • H2S Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Field Ergonomics (Energy Safety Canada)
  • Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  • Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
    • Breath Alcohol Test
    • Urine Drug Test

Once onboarded, the following processes will occur:

  • Will receive a call from NASI to set up all required pre-employment testing
  • An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
  • After all results and paperwork are received by NASI, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.

Please note: The onboarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.
