Rainy River Mine

Situated in northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open-pit, gold and silver-producing residential mine site.

The area is home to over 130 bird species and large populations of moose, black bears, and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, winter sports, and lake country, this is an area you will love to live and work in.

Applicants residing in Northwestern Ontario with experience working in a cross-cultural environment and knowledge of local challenges and opportunities are assets. Priority will be given to qualified applicants who are beneficiaries of the Impact Benefits Agreement (IBA) and residents of Northwestern Ontario communities. About The Role

Position : Warehouse Technician

Schedule : 7 / 7 - 12 Hour Days and Nights

Reports To : Warehouse Supervisor

Position Overview :

The Warehouse Technician supports warehouse operations, ensuring activities comply with New Gold's policies, including cultural, safety, and environmental standards. This is an entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.

• Local applicants in the Rainy River District will be prioritized. Note that camp accommodations are not provided for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain yard and facility cleanliness and organization
• Support production by ensuring parts availability for critical equipment
• Coordinate and execute 5S projects as assigned
• Oversee waste management and waste removal
• Manage scrap metal removal in accordance with IBA agreements
• Uphold warehouse housekeeping standards for safety and compliance
• Provide efficient services to internal departments
• Operate materials handling equipment safely and in compliance with regulations
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Attend safety meetings and assist with operational tasks
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Coordinate special projects and maintain accurate records using Excel, SAP, and other Microsoft applications
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in warehousing, material handling, and shipping
• Training in safe operation of warehouse equipment
• Experience in mining environment advantageous
• Risk awareness and hazard mitigation skills
• Familiarity with computerized management systems
• Teamwork ability
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
