Your leadership will be instrumental in developing a high-performing, engaged team that thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.

With a deep understanding of business needs, you will bridge strong working relationships with cross-functional departments, storage facilities, and external partners to ensure that operational objectives are consistently met and exceeded. Your commitment to exceptional customer service, combined with your ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement, will directly contribute to the success of the warehouse and the broader organization.

Your remarkable organizational skills, strategic planning abilities, and solution-oriented mindset will be critical as you support current and emerging retail programs while balancing competing priorities. You foster a positive, collaborative culture, championing a safe, supportive, and productive environment where teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement are paramount.

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure alignment with company standards, performance expectations, and operational efficiency goals.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, including work planning, inventory control, warehouse supply management, and staff scheduling to optimize efficiency, maximize availability, and control costs. Schedule team members for optimal coverage and approve overtime as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers by ensuring excellence in inventory receiving/dispatching and proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Lead and maintain a compliant health and safety program, ensuring all warehouse activities strictly follow safety policies and procedures while promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and transportation teams to efficiently coordinate warehouse and trucking activities, ensuring smooth operations across departments.
  • Perform hands-on warehouse activities as needed, including maintaining accurate records in the ERP system, supporting operational execution, and completing other assigned duties.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment through ongoing facility upkeep and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Oversee warehouse machinery and equipment, ensuring it is properly maintained and that all team members are appropriately trained and certified to operate equipment safely.
  • Ensure the accuracy of receiving, inventory, and shipping records, documenting all relevant information in computerized systems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead audit preparedness efforts, ensuring the warehouse is consistently ready for food safety, safety, and third-party audits.

Required Knowledge & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, reconciliation processes, and team leadership best practices.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and business learning, with strong resourcefulness and initiative.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams, build positive relationships, and clearly convey information.
  • Demonstrated resilience and composure under pressure, with the ability to multitask and maintain high productivity in dynamic, high-volume environments.
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, positive team environment, while independently managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve operational challenges using sound judgment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support business needs, including occasional travel, weekend, or evening work as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ERP or warehouse management system (WMS) experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to lead by example, promote a safety-first culture, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
