Qualifications

• Proficient with packing lists, bills of lading, and PO matching.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all Alberta weather.
• Sharp attention to detail and basic math; aptitude assessment included.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify inbound materials against PO and packing lists.
• Inspect for damage, discrepancies, or missing certifications and flag issues.
• Store, label, and segregate materials by project, grade, and heat number to protect traceability.
• Prepare and coordinate outbound shipments — packing lists, bills of lading, carrier pickups.
• Operate a forklift and assist with crane/rigging under supervised certification.
• Keep receiving yard and warehouse clean, organized, and safe.

What You'll Do

• Receive and verify inbound materials, equipment, and consumables against purchase orders and packing lists
• Inspect for damage, discrepancies, or missing certifications (MTRs, mill certs) and flag issues immediately
• Store, label, and segregate materials by project, grade, and heat number to protect traceability
• Prepare and coordinate outbound shipments — packing lists, bills of lading, and carrier pickups
• Operate a forklift and assist with crane/rigging activities under certified supervision
• Keep the receiving yard and warehouse clean, organized, and safe

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or materials handling experience in a fabrication, industrial, or construction setting
• A valid forklift operator certificate and Alberta driver's license
• Comfort with packing lists, bills of lading, and PO matching
• Physical readiness for manual handling (up to 50 lbs) and outdoor yard work in all Alberta weather
• Sharp attention to detail — and solid basic math skills, since accuracy in counts, quantities, and documentation matters every single day. Shortlisted candidates complete a short aptitude assessment focused on attention to detail as part of our interview process.

Nice to Have

• Experience receiving MTR-documented materials in a fabrication or pressure equipment environment
• ERP/purchasing system experience
• Overhead crane certification or TDG awareness training
