Job summary

Metrie in Dartmouth NS is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to oversee daily shipping and receiving with the warehouse. You will ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate, on schedule, and documented while maintaining inventory accuracy and process compliance.

You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor as part of the Dartmouth distribution team. You will coordinate shipments, support production schedules, and supervise staff while maintaining a safe, organized warehouse and

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping, receiving, and scheduling/coordinating is preferred.
• Forklift experience is an asset.
• Positive attitude, lead by example, and respectful to teammates.
• Understand health and safety at work and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight carriers.
• Collaborate with production to determine outbound shipment dates and priorities.
• Manage organization of stored goods and products.
• Supervise and provide direction to your direct report.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks via a forklift.
• Support all departments with administrative tasks (scanning, filing, mail, UPS/courier shipments, claims, POs, office supplies, lunches/gatherings).
• Actively support and cover where required within Administration.
• Represent Metrie’s interests with customers and suppliers.
