Job summary

Maritime Beauty Supply in Halifax, NS is seeking a full-time Receiver for our distribution centre. You will unload deliveries, verify items, complete paperwork, and coordinate with Purchasing to fix UPC issues, while maintaining safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prior inventory/receiving experience, helps maintain tidy bins, lift up to 50 lbs, and works well in a fast-paced team environment with a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Prior inventory, retail, and receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jack; forklift experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unload goods from delivery vehicles.
• Verify accuracy of deliveries and complete incoming paperwork.
• Work with Purchasing to correct UPC code issues.
• Maintain bin areas and replenish with incoming goods.
• Review customer complaints and investigate errors.
• Adhere to Health & Safety protocols and participate in CI activities.
• Perform general cleaning and support co-workers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced full time Receiver to join our Distribution Centre team located in Halifax, NS. Responsibilities

• Unload goods from delivery vehicles.
• Verify accuracy of deliveries.
• Complete paperwork for incoming deliveries.
• Work with Purchasing Department to correct any issues with product UPC codes.
• General Bin maintenance.
• Replenish Bins with incoming goods.
• Review customer complaints, investigating where/if an error occurred.
• Ensuring all Health & Safety protocols are adhered to.
• Participating in continuous improvement activities.
• Performing general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Work effectively as a team, use and learn from each other's knowledge and support your co-workers.
• Demonstrate our company culture and values.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
• Previous inventory, retail, and receiving experience is preferred
• Experience using a pallet jack and forklift is an asset, but not required - full training provided
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Job Type:Full-Time (37.5hours). OT starts at 40 hours.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required as needed to meet business needs.
