Job summary

Doman Building Materials Group is seeking a Warehouse Person in Mount Pearl, NL to efficiently assemble products for customer orders and assist with loading trucks. This temporary, full-time role reports to the Branch Supervisor and requires adherence to safety and service commitments.

Responsibilities include receiving inventory, restocking returns, performing spot counts, maintaining an organized warehouse, and assisting customers with loading orders onto delivery trucks.

Qualifications

• Certification in equipment asset: Counterbalance Forklift.
• General building materials knowledge is an asset and preferred.
• Minimum one-year warehouse experience and familiarity with order picking process.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 85 pounds occasionally.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.
• Receiving experience is an asset.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Warehouse Person is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto customers' trucks, receiving inventory from suppliers, and receiving and restocking customer returns.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

• Unloads building material supplies safely and promptly from delivery trucks and properly places in the warehouse.
• Accurately, efficiently, and safely picks and assembles customer orders.
• Processes receiving tallies and packing slips without delay.
• Assists customers by loading orders onto delivery trucks.
• Conducts spot inventory counts.
• Receives and restocks inventory returns.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
• Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
• Adheres to customer service commitments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Certification in the following equipment is an asset: Counterbalance Forklift.
• General building materials knowledge is an asset and preferred.
• Minimum one-year warehouse experience and be familiar with order picking process.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms regularly and up to 85 pounds occasionally.
• Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
• Receiving experience an asset.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Competitive hourly rate

Employment Status: Temporary, full-time

Work Location: Donovans Industrial Park, 42 Sagona Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 4R3

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Note: Hours may change due to operational requirements.
