Job summary

Doman Building Materials Group Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Person for our Mount Pearl, NL location. This temporary, full-time role involves assembling customer orders, loading trucks, receiving inventory, and restocking returns.

You will work 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, in our Donovan’s Industrial Park facility. Candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, wear steel-toed boots, and comply with safety rules in a physically-demanding, outdoor-capable warehouse.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year warehouse experience.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to bend, lift and reach during shift.
• Receiving experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unload supplies from delivery trucks and place in the warehouse.
• Accurately pick and assemble customer orders.
• Process receiving tallies and packing slips.
• Assist customers by loading orders onto delivery trucks.
• Conduct spot inventory counts and restock inventory returns.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse; follow safety rules.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, the Warehouse Person is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto customers’ trucks, receiving inventory from suppliers, and receiving and restocking customer returns.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

• Unloads building material supplies safely and promptly from delivery trucks and properly places in the warehouse.
• Accurately, efficiently, and safely picks and assembles customer orders.
• Processes receiving tallies and packing slips without delay.
• Assists customers by loading orders onto delivery trucks.
• Conducts spot inventory counts.
• Receives and restocks inventory returns.
• Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
• Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
• Adheres to customer service commitments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Certification in the following equipment is an asset: Counterbalance Forklift.
• General building materials knowledge is an asset and preferred.
• Minimum one-year warehouse experience and be familiar with order picking process.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms regularly and up to 85 pounds occasionally.
• Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
• Receiving experience an asset.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Employment Status: Temporary, full-time

Work Location: Donovans Industrial Park, 42 Sagona Ave, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 4R3

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm
