Job summary

Sobeys Whitby Retail Support Centre is hiring for an overnight Warehouse Order Selector. You will assemble customer orders, load items in proper sequence, and place returns or damaged goods appropriately. You’ll follow safety rules and maintain a clean, productive workspace in a fast-paced setting.

This role requires physical stamina, frequent lifting, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Shifts include evenings and weekends as needed at our Whitby facility in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Occasionally lift over 88 lbs; two-person lift for weights over 50 lbs.
• Standing and walking for long periods; attention to safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assemble orders for shipment to customers.
• Load goods onto delivery vehicle in defined sequence.
• Fill pick slots with merchandise from reserve area.
• Document received merchandise and move to proper slots.
• Follow safe work practices and wear PPE; report malfunctions.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and productivity.

Provide customers and stores with accurate and secure orders in a safe and timely manner. Fulfill all assigned duties in all areas of the RSC. Actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement.

• Assemble orders for shipment to customers
• Load goods onto delivery vehicle in proper sequence as defined by trip sheet
• Fill pick slots with merchandise from reserve area
• Place returned merchandise in stock and move damaged products to recoup area
• Document received merchandise and move merchandise from the receiving dock and place in proper slots
• Follow safe work practices and company safety rules
• Ensure required personal protective equipment is always worn
• Always exercise good housekeeping practices and maintain an acceptable level of productivity, handle merchandise in a damage-free manner, and report all equipment malfunctions to a supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements
• Other duties may be assigned
