Job summary

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring Warehouse Order Pickers on a permanent basis for our Supply Chain team. This on-site role is based at our Home and Building Solutions (HABS) Distribution Centre in Calgary and our Food Distribution Centre in Calgary, with opportunities to learn and grow within a cooperative, community-focused organization.

You will fill, check, and pack orders, work in freezer conditions when needed, and follow safety PPE standards.

Qualifications

• Verbal communication skills to operate headset and coordinate with team.
• Ability to work in freezer environments when required.
• Able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis.
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Proven ability to collaborate with warehouse colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Fill, check and pack orders using pallet jack and headset system.
• Select items from floor stock to assemble on pallets for local Co-ops.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending and lifting.
• Maintain a clean shipping and receiving area.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring Warehouse Order Pickers on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain team.This position is on-site work at either our Home and Building Solutions (HABS) Distribution Centre located at2626 - 10th Avenue NE, Calgary, AB or our Food Distribution Centre located at3333 52nd Street SE, Calgary, AB.

What you'll do:

• Fill, check and pack orders using a pallet jack and headset system throughout the warehouse, selecting items from floor stock to assemble on pallets, to then be transported to local Co-ops.
• May work in the freezer in below zero temperatures (PPE and premium pay provided)
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform repetitive physical work including bending, lifting, and reaching.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean shipping and receiving area.

You will work closely with other warehouse professionals and will report into the Supervisor, Warehouse Operations.Thisteam strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, community, and efficiency.

• A starting salary of $19.34 rising to $20.40 after probation with future increases determined by the applicable Collective Agreement.
