Job summary

Sysco Canada Inc. is seeking a Selector II to join our warehouse team in Halifax. You will accurately select and stage orders, operate electric pallet jacks and voice-directed pick systems, and help maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring correct products and quantities, staging orders for loading, and adhering to safety policies while working with teammates to support efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
• Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) frequently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when selecting and staging orders.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist in training new team members.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select and gather products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders using pick sheets, voice-directed systems, or other order fulfillment technologies.
• Ensure the correct quantity, quality, and product codes are selected for each order.
• Stage selected products for loading onto delivery trucks in a timely and organized manner.
• Identify and report discrepancies in inventory; assist with cycle counts and adjustments.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks and order pickers.
• Adhere to safety regulations, keep work area clean, and report malfunctions or hazards.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel and may assist in training new selectors.
