Job summary

Univar Solutions Canada Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our Weston, ON facility. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will handle material duties, pick and pack orders, and assist with loading/unloading while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Starting wage is $26.85/hour during probation, increasing to $32.60/hour after probation, with potential bonus and comprehensive benefits. This role requires physical work, some outdoors, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, mathematical, computer and clerical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work within company policy where experience and independent judgement is demonstrated.
• Forklift operation experience an asset.
• WHMIS and/or TDG training an asset.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform material handling of products, including some hazardous materials.
• Monitor inventory levels of company products.
• Pick orders and prepare for shipping using a forklift; place and wrap skids, load onto trucks.
• Assist with off-loading and stocking from trucks.
• Transfer bulk liquids from rail to tank or truck.
• Prepare orders for customers, including blending and packaging.
• Clean and maintain warehouse and equipment. Some outdoor work in various weather.

About The Position

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing all warehouse duties as required

What you’ll do:

• Material handling of some hazardous products
• Monitor inventory levels of Company products
• Pick orders and prepare them for shipping using a forklift to place products on skids and wrap skids, and then load the skids onto trucks
• Assists with the off-loading with trucks and putting away of product
• Bulk liquid transfer from rail to tank or truck
• Prepares product orders for customers to include custom blending and packaging
• Cleans and maintains the warehouse and equipment
• Some outdoor work required in various weather conditions

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent working experience
• Strong organizational, mathematical, computer and clerical skills
• Self-motivated and able to work within company policy where experience and
• independent judgement is demonstrated
• Forklift operation experience an asset
• WHMIS and/or TDG training an asset
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis

Pay and benefits:

The starting base wage for this position is $26.85 per hour during probationary period and increases to $32.60 thereafter. The specific wage offered to a candidate is established by the classification within the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA) under which the position is covered.
