Job summary

Brenntag Canada Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise operations employees and plant/site assets, ensuring safe, efficient chemical handling and timely delivery of quality products.

You will oversee facility activities, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and ensure ISO compliance while maintaining strong customer focus. The role requires 5+ years in chemical operations management, SAP experience, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in chemical operations management.
  • Knowledge of provincial/federal chemical regulations.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • ERP experience, preferably SAP.
  • Strong decision making, time management and leadership.

  • Leads and inspires a high performing Operations Team that supports Brenntag’s Core Values and the Brenntag Way execution for business conduct and compliance.
  • Manages all facility and manufacturing activities to achieve required business objectives as set out by management while ensuring customer needs and requirements are met.
  • Resolves production issues related to customer service problems.
  • Participates in emergency response preparedness and ISO standards compliance.
  • Participates in budgeting and planning processes and manages operational budget within defined parameters.

Purpose of position:To supervise operations employees and plant/site assets ensuring safe, efficient and effective chemical handling activities which conform with corporate and local policies, while ensuring timely delivery of quality product that meets customer requirements.Reporting Structure:This position reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager West.
