Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Warehouse Operator in Edmonton, AB to receive, handle, store, and dispatch goods following established procedures. You will check for damage, sort and label items, pick and pack orders, and operate forklifts and related machinery in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires physical strength for lifting up to 50 pounds, adherence to PPE requirements, and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace. Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods following established procedures.
• Check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.

• Pick, pack, and dispatch goods based on requests.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator to join our team in Edmonton, AB

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.
• Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests orders.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks as needed.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Previous experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment
• Please note, this is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
