Job summary

The Ashley Canada Whitby store of The Dufresne Group is hiring a Full-Time Warehouse Merchandise Handler (In Store) to support visual presentation, warehousing and customer service in-store.

You will receive products, prepare shipments, manage floor placement, maintain inventory records and keep the warehouse tidy while meeting retail hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1-year related experience an asset.
• Ability to work during retail hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and accurate support related to visual presentation, warehousing, customer service, pickups, movement of goods & merchandising.
• Be responsible for store maintenance - including the exterior of the building.
• Receive product and prepare outbound shipments.
• Prepare product for floor placement or delivery.
• Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation.
• Load and unload freight trailers.
• Keep the warehouse area organized and clean.

Ashley Canada is currently seeking a Full-Time Warehouse Merchandise Handler (In Store) for our Whitby store located at 1650 Victoria St E.

This position is being posted to fill an immediate staffing need within the department. We are actively seeking qualified candidates who can step into the role and contribute to the team as soon as possible.

As a Warehouse Merchandise Handler (In Store) you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of visual presentation for our home furnishing products in our stores.
