Job description

You are a Warehouse Material Handler responsible for the daily flow of material, including accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You ensure the Warehouse is a safe and clean environment and assist with maintenance and small repairs on equipment and fleet vehicles.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Verify incoming and outgoing materials.
  2. Support shipping and receiving activities; assist technicians with loading materials.
  3. Operate forklifts and lift heavy items (up to 40 lbs.).
  4. Assist in warehouse safety, cleaning, organizing, and waste disposal.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with field technicians; verify that the needs of the warehousing staff are being met.
  6. Administer inventory control and order selection.
  7. Utilize industry practices and an inventory tracking system to record and manage inbound and outbound stock.
  8. Experience with auditing processes, including process compliance, assets protection, security, quality control, and labor utilization.
Qualifications:
  1. 1-2 years of industry experience, preferably in a high-volume warehouse environment.
  2. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (experience with JD Edwards and database software is an asset).
  3. Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and a Security Clearance Process.
  4. Previous experience with an ERP system, particularly with inventory transactions.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing customer demands.
  6. Experience establishing relationships at various organizational levels.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Effective communication skills.
  9. Forklift Operator Certification is an asset.
Working Conditions:
  1. This is a full-time, permanent position.
  2. Must meet physical requirements, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  3. Preference given to applicants residing in the Calgary area due to project location.
