Description

You are a Warehouse Material Handler responsible for the daily flow of materials, including accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You ensure the Warehouse is a safe and clean environment, and assist with maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and fleet vehicles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Verify incoming and outgoing materials.
  2. Support shipping and receiving activities; assist technicians with loading materials.
  3. Operate forklifts and lift heavy items (up to 40 lbs.).
  4. Assist in warehouse safety, cleaning, organizing, and waste disposal.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with field technicians; ensure warehouse staff needs are met.
  6. Administer inventory control and order selection.
  7. Use industry practices and inventory tracking systems to record inbound and outbound stock.
  8. Experience with auditing processes, including process compliance, asset protection, security, quality control, and labor utilization.

Qualifications:

  1. 1-2 years of industry experience, preferably in a high-volume warehouse environment.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; JD Edwards and database software experience are assets.
  3. Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing and security clearance.
  4. Experience with ERP systems, particularly in inventory transactions.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing customer demands.
  6. Experience establishing relationships across organizational levels.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Effective communication skills.
  9. Forklift Operator Certification is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  1. This is a full-time position.
  2. Must meet physical requirements, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  3. Preference given to applicants residing in Calgary due to project location.
