Job summary

Meyer Distributing in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead a fast-paced operation with a focus on organization, safety, and team performance. This full-time role requires coaching staff, overseeing receiving, shipping, inventory, and drivers, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining a positive work environment.

You will manage productivity, quality, and safety standards, coordinate counts, operate forklifts, and support staffing and performance management

Qualifications

Prior warehouse experience preferred.
Strong safety focus and procedure adherence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights.
Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 90 days of hire.
Required to wear protective PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees and team leads.
Oversee daily receiving, shipping, inventory, warehousing operations and drivers.
Foster a strong safety culture and ensure PPE compliance.
Manage warehouse productivity, quality, and operational performance.
Coordinate inventory counts and maintain accuracy.
Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and other powered equipment.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Address operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Support staffing, attendance, and performance management.
All other duties as assigned.
