We are looking for a responsible Warehouse Manager to perform a variety of shipping and logistics warehouse support. Duties of a Warehouse Manager include :

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in incoming and outgoing shipments
• Assist workers in shipping and receiving functions
• Maintain correct number of staff for required duties and control labour hours
• Study shipping notices, bill of ladings, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
• Oversee the incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments
• Determine space requirements and position within storage areas (freezer, warehouse, cooler, etc.) lays out position in coordination with QA Supervisor, Plant Manager and Materials Planning Department
• Maintain warehouse and other storage areas in a clean organized manner
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contact approved outside service provider for timely repairs.
• Ensure monthly finished goods inventory is completed on time and accurately
• Plan and participate in year-end inventory
• Participate in mock recall exercises
• Train employees on equipment, shipping / receiving procedures and company policies including all safety procedures for their area

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Previous experience with 53ft reefer trailers
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and generating shipping documents
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Knowledge of shipping software and equipment, such as label printers and scales
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Physical ability to lift and move packages of various weights
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and safety guidelines
• Ability to work independently and within a team
