Job summary

FMi Logistics Incorporated in Calgary, Canada is seeking a Warehouse Lead Hand (03) to supervise a team of warehouse operators, ensuring timely picking, packing, receiving and shipping while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy. You will coordinate with CSRs, schedule tasks, fill reports, audit orders, and work with the Warehouse Supervisor to meet daily KPIs and maintain inventory accuracy.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary preferred in logistics/supply chain or business administration.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in warehouse operations; 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Certifications: Forklift operator certification; WHMIS training; First Aid/CPR an asset.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe work environment and address safety concerns.
Coordinate with CSRs to release orders to the floor and assign to team members.
Prioritize client orders for prompt picking and shipment.
Schedule and coordinate the warehouse team's activities and duties.
Fill and submit reports; audit orders and ensure quality.
Work with Warehouse Supervisor on daily reporting and KPIs.
Ensure KPIs are met on daily/weekly/monthly cycles.
Coordinate with shipper and Inventory/Receiver for procedures and counts.
Support as Shipper/Receiver/Inventory coordinator when needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Warehouse Lead Hand (03)

Job Summary

Lead Hand coordinates a team of warehouse operators to ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, receiving, and shipping of products while attending to other aspects of the warehouse operations.

Working with CSRs, ensuring customers’ orders are released to the floor and allocated to team members.
Prioritizing clients’ requests for orders to be picked up promptly.
Attending to the needs of the warehouse team and coordinating team activities.
Scheduling and coordinating the work of the warehouse team, assigning duties.
Fill and submit reports, as necessary.
Auditing orders, checking the quality of work assigned to the team.
Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor on day-to-day reporting/requirements.
Ensuring that all Warehouse KPIs are met on a daily/weekly/monthly cycle.
Coordinate with the shipper to ensure all shipping procedures are followed and are accurate.
Coordinate with the Inventory coordinator in performing inventory cycle counts as requested by customers and solving location issues in the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy!
Coordinate with the Receiver in completing all the receiver activities promptly.
Act as Shipper &/or Receiver, &/or Inventory coordinator when needed.
Other duties as assigned.

You Know & Have These Things Already:

1.Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is preferred.
Computer literacy is mandatory, and you must have experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Experience in shipping, receiving, and picking procedures.
Knowledge of inventory procedures.

2.Abilities /Skills/Certifications:

Forklift operator certification.
First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and database software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 lb and stand for extended periods.
Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management.
Excellent communication and people skills.

3.Additional Requirements:

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
Experience in a multi-client warehouse environment is highly desirable.
Clean criminal background check.
