Job summary

Sinclair Supply Ltd. in Edmonton South seeks a Warehouse Generalist to join our team and help manage inventory, shipping, receiving, and daily administration with safety and accuracy.

You will support the sales team, conduct cycle counts, and ensure compliance with SOPs while providing excellent service to customers and internal teams. This role requires physical activity and forklift readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience or ability to attain forklift certification.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and be active for duration of shift.
• Professional and courteous communication with coworkers and customers.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills to use Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
• Prior customer service experience is an asset.
• Basic English reading and writing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Observe, audit, record, and report inventory discrepancies across operations.
• Assist weekly cycle counts and annual inventories.
• Provide coverage for Counter Sales during breaks and busy periods.
• Support sales team on inventory discrepancies and warranty issues.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and safety policies in daily tasks.

The team in our Edmonton South branch is currently looking for a Warehouse Generalist to become an integral part of the team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies from all areas of operations involving inventory control.
• Assist all cycle and year end inventory counts in the show room and warehouse.
• Assist or conduct weekly cycle counts as well as research and correct inventory variances.
• Provide Counter Sales Representative coverage during breaks, vacations, and periods of high customer volume.
• Work with sales team to resolve warranty return issues.
• Provide support to sales team related to inventory discrepancies (i.e. investigate variance and stock outs).
• Assist in developing training and education resources to support show room and warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ensure adherence to inventory control standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external inventory matters.
• Safely and efficiently completes accurate daily shipping, receiving, and administrative requirements.
• Fully comply with and complete all documentation as per Sinclair Supply health and safety policies, procedures and practices, and other legislation and regulatory requirements – including strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Monitor internal and external customer service concerns and coordinate appropriate response and assertively elevate concerns to management as required.
  
• Any other related tasks as assigned by Management.
  

Qualification/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Previous forklift experience and/or ability to attain forklift certification, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS certifications
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and be active for duration of shift
• Ability to communicate with coworkers and customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Proficiency in basic computer skills to utilize Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to safely lift 50lbs while unassisted
• Prior experience in a customer service is an asset.
• Basic English language proficiency in reading and writing
