Job summary

Sinclair Supply Ltd. in Edmonton is seeking a Warehouse Generalist to join our Edmonton South branch. You’ll handle inventory control tasks, shipping and receiving, and support the sales team in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Forklift experience and/or ability to attain forklift certification, TDG and WHMIS certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and be active for duration of shift.
• Professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to safely lift 50lbs unassisted.
• Prior customer service experience is an asset.
• Basic English reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies from all areas of operations involving inventory control.
• Assist all cycle and year end inventory counts in the show room and warehouse.
• Assist with weekly cycle counts and researching inventory variances.
• Provide Counter Sales coverage during breaks, vacations, and busy periods.
• Work with sales team to resolve warranty return issues.
• Support sales team related to inventory discrepancies (investigate variance and stock outs).
• Assist in developing training resources for show room and warehouse operations.
• Ensure adherence to inventory SOPs.
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external inventory matters.
• Complete daily shipping, receiving, and administrative tasks accurately.
• Comply with health and safety policies including PPE requirements.
• Monitor customer service concerns and coordinate responses with management.
• Any other related tasks as assigned by Management.

The team in our Edmonton South branch is currently looking for a Warehouse Generalist to become an integral part of the team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies from all areas of operations involving inventory control.
• Assist all cycle and year end inventory counts in the show room and warehouse.
• Assist or conduct weekly cycle counts as well as research and correct inventory variances.
• Provide Counter Sales Representative coverage during breaks, vacations, and periods of high customer volume.
• Work with sales team to resolve warranty return issues.
• Provide support to sales team related to inventory discrepancies (i.e. investigate variance and stock outs).
• Assist in developing training and education resources to support show room and warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ensure adherence to inventory control standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external inventory matters.
• Safely and efficiently completes accurate daily shipping, receiving, and administrative requirements.
• Fully comply with and complete all documentation as per Sinclair Supply health and safety policies, procedures and practices, and other legislation and regulatory requirements – including strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Monitor internal and external customer service concerns and coordinate appropriate response and assertively elevate concerns to management as required.
  
• Any other related tasks as assigned by Management.
  

Qualification/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Previous forklift experience and/or ability to attain forklift certification, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS certifications
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and be active for duration of shift
• Ability to communicate with coworkers and customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Proficiency in basic computer skills to utilize Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to safely lift 50lbs while unassisted
• Prior experience in a customer service is an asset.
• Basic English language proficiency in reading and writing
