Job summary

Staples Canada in Calgary is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help receive, store and move products in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will work under supervision to ensure accuracy and safety in daily operations.

Applicants should have at least 3 months of warehouse experience; forklift, pallet jack or cherry picker experience is preferred, and willingness to become certified in equipment operation. Shift is Monday–Friday 11:00 am–7:30 pm with pay in the $17.20–$18.20 CAD/hour range.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months of related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker and pallet jack preferred.
• Willingness to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and move products around the warehouse using equipment.
• Perform duties under the direction of warehouse supervisor or manager.
• Ensure accuracy of orders and examine discrepancies.
• Use hand-held scanners to enter product information while ensuring accuracy.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of warehouse activities through teamwork with colleagues.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

Some Of What You Need

• Minimum of three (3) months' related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklift, cherry picker and pallet jack preferred.
• Ability and interest to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment will be considered.

Additional Requirements Information

• The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee may lift, lower, or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand.
• The employee will operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
