Sonepar Canada, Inc. is seeking a delivery driver to service customers daily in Kingston, ON. You will deliver orders, manage pickups, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while staying in contact with dispatch for pickups and schedule changes.

Ideal candidates have a valid G license, a clean CVOR, and experience driving medium/large vehicles. This role emphasizes reliability, customer service, and accuracy in following instructions.

Qualifications

• Valid G license is required.
• Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR are required.
• Experience driving 3-ton, 5-ton, and flatbed vehicles is preferred.
• Customer service orientation is essential.
• Accuracy in following instructions and safety procedures is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing goods are in good condition.
• Pickup and deliver items to customers.
• Use maps and trip planning tools for routing.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Record trip information (mileage, fuel, issues).
• Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

Scope of the Position:

The delivery driver staff are responsible for delivering orders and products to customers on a daily basis. They are responsible for driving to and from the pickup location to the destination, delivering goods/products and collecting the payment. They must ensure that they have the correct names and addresses of customers, and stay in contact with dispatchers for additional pick-ups. It is their duty to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle and to ensure the safe delivery of the product without any delay or damage.

Major Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Makes sure that incoming and outgoing products and material are in good condition
• Pick-up and deliver various items and products
• Use maps and other trip planning aids
• Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Record trip information i.e., vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues
• Responsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by management
