Job summary

Van Kam Freightways Ltd in Sidney, BC is seeking a full-time warehouse dock worker. This role requires prior freight handling and warehouse experience, with preference for candidates who have hazardous materials handling experience. The position is based at the Sidney terminal.

Shift is 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Sunday to Thursday scheduling. Training provided; forklift operator certificate is an asset.

Qualifications

• Previous freight handling/warehouse experience is required.
• Experience handling hazardous materials is preferred.
• Forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Schedules depart on time to meet deadlines.
• Quality loading to minimize damages.

This position is based in Sidney, BC

Van Kam Freightways Ltd has immediate availability for full-time warehouse dock worker in our Sidney terminal. This position requires previous freight handling/warehouse experience and experience handling hazardous materials.

Shift timings: 4:00AM – 12:30PM Monday to Friday

We require the following:

• All LTL freight is cross docked
• Schedules depart on time
• High level of load factor
• Quality loading to minimize damages
• Ability to work schedule of Sunday to Thursday.

The successful candidate(s) will be working in a high-pressure, high-volume atmosphere with critical time frames. Training will be provided. A current forklift operator certificate is an asset.
