Job summary

Van Kam Freightways Ltd, based in Sidney, BC, is seeking a full-time warehouse dock worker for our Sidney terminal. The role requires prior freight handling and warehouse experience, with a preference for those who have hazardous materials handling exposure.

Shift times are 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with Sunday to Thursday schedules possible. The successful candidate will work in a high-volume, high-pressure environment; training will be provided and a current forklift operator

Qualifications

• Previous freight handling/warehouse experience required.
• Experience handling hazardous materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• All LTL freight is cross-docked.
• Schedules depart on time and maintain high load factor.
• Quality loading to minimize damages.
• Ability to work a Sunday-Thursday schedule.

This position is based in Sidney, BC

Van Kam Freightways Ltd has immediate availability for full-time warehouse dock worker in our Sidney terminal. This position requires previous freight handling/warehouse experience and experience handling hazardous materials.

Shift timings: 4:00AM – 12:30PM Monday to Friday

We require the following:

• All LTL freight is cross docked
• Schedules depart on time
• High level of load factor
• Quality loading to minimize damages
• Ability to work schedule of Sunday to Thursday.

The successful candidate(s) will be working in a high-pressure, high-volume atmosphere with critical time frames. Training will be provided. A current forklift operator certificate is an asset.
