Job summary

Kent Building Supplies is seeking a Warehouse Department Supervisor to lead the Halifax Metro Operations Center, directing daily warehouse standards, shipping, and fleet turnaround activities. You will coordinate location management and logistics for the Halifax market.

The role requires strong safety leadership, team coaching, and the ability to manage shifts in the evenings and weekends. A product knowledge background is helpful for success and growth within Kent.

Responsibilities

• Leads by demonstrating the highest standards of safety, and reporting all types of accidents
• Maintaining warehouse standards and cleanliness
• Manage operations evening and weekends
• Communicates information and priorities to associates and ensures they have the direction and tools needed to complete their task; training, Coaching.
• Manages associate performance through feedback and identifying training opportunities
• Handles associate and customer concerns in a fair and professional manner
• Location management
• Back Orders /MRF/ and check trucks when required
• Support Hole counts and Cycle counts
• Inventory; assist with Receiving materials & storage

We have an opportunity for an Warehouse Department Supervisor to join the Metro Operations Center team in the Halifax market. The primary job function is to plan and direct the daily requirements of thewarehouse standards, Shipping and Fleet Turnaround Team, as well as coordinate the logistics of all location management.
