We take pride in offering high-quality flooring solutions to our customers, and we are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Coordinator/Driver to join our team and help us maintain the seamless flow of operations.

Position Overview: Nufloors Fernie is seeking a person with long term aspirations to a challenging and interesting career. As a Warehouse Coordinator/Driver at Nufloors Fernie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling of our inventory and the timely delivery of materials to our installation teams. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with suppliers, driving our cube van to pick up freight, and maintaining the overall organization of our warehouse and store locations.

What’s the role:

1. Freight Coordination: Liaise with suppliers in Calgary, Alberta to arrange for freight pickups. Ensure that the required freight is available for collection according to the installation schedule of upcoming jobs.
2. Safe Driving: Safely operate our cube van to pick up freight from suppliers. Calculate and manage the weight of the freight to stay within the cube van's allowable tare.
3. Inventory Management: Determine which items need to be picked up for upcoming scheduled jobs. Verify that incoming freight matches the Packing Slip and Purchase Order. Clearly label incoming freight with customer or job names. Re-order products as needed to maintain stocking inventory.
4. Warehouse Organization: Maintain a neat, tidy, and organized warehouse to streamline operations and ensure easy access to materials.
5. Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that the cube van is well-maintained and up-to-date with regular servicing. Keep the cube van clean and presentable.
6. Facility Maintenance: Responsible for the maintenance of both the warehouse and retail store locations, both inside and outside.
7. Measuring and installation of custom ordered window coverings.
8. Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs.
3. Previous experience in warehouse coordination and driving.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to calculate and manage freight weight effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills for supplier coordination.
7. Basic maintenance skills for vehicle and facility upkeep.
8. Ability to work independently and multitask to meet deadlines.
