Job summary

Essentra, a global manufacturer, is seeking an entry-level Warehouse Associate for its Burlington, Ontario facility. The role supports shipping/receiving, inventory checks, cycle counting, and operation of powered vehicles, with training to advance.

Training will prepare you for higher levels in a hands-on environment. You will cross-train in multiple areas, work safely, and participate in inventory control while using UPS and FedEx systems.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of work experience in warehouse or manufacturing is a plus.
• Willingness to work varied shift end times and overtime as needed.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction once trained.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Team player with good verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Process and pack customer orders via UPS and FedEx with accurate packing slips and labels.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Cross-train in areas like barcoding, restacking, and receiving.
• Train on powered vehicles under supervision.
• Maintain safety standards and enforce them with others.
• Document inventory transactions and shipping/receiving in the system.
• Route and ship outgoing product quickly with minimal inaccuracies.
• Carry out daily cycle counts to improve inventory accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
