Overview

About the Role – Warehouse Associates collaborate with our Field Technicians to set up, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues with Caper Carts across partner locations. You will be an expert on cart components and construction, troubleshooting tickets via our Support Portal, and providing feedback on hardware and software status.

Caper supplies all necessary safety equipment, tools, and instructions. You will work with teammates to contribute ideas and help shape the future of grocery technology.

About the Team - Our Warehouse Team manages the hardware lifecycle from arrival to deployment and maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime for our retail partners.

Description:

  • Unpack and perform inbound quality checks on incoming carts and hardware from our manufacturer.
  • Configure software and hardware to meet retailer needs before shipping.
  • Conduct outbound quality checks and pack hardware for shipment.
  • Provide feedback on hardware performance via our ticketing system.
  • Identify technical issues and suggest solutions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for cart component queries, understanding all aspects of cart construction.
  • Ensure carts meet weight and measurement standards.
  • Support training of warehouse and field technicians.
  • Troubleshoot intermittent hardware problems and assist software teams.
  • Utilize electrical troubleshooting skills, including opening hardware modules to replace components.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi setup, configuration, and router wiring.
  • Experience with Weights and Measures certification standards.
  • Proficiency with communication tools like Slack, Google Sheets, and email.
  • Ability to operate battery-powered tools and work with powered stackers and pallet jacks.
  • Quick learner capable of following procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 kg in a warehouse setting.
  • Meticulous in tracking materials via serial numbers.
  • Interest in working with hardware and software technology.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to exceeding expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with POS hardware and software support, including embedded scale systems.
  • Familiarity with wiring, electronics, and high-tech devices like copiers and printers.
