Job summary

DHL Express in Montreal's Lachine location is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Exports) to support shipping operations by accurately handling shipments, labeling, and paperwork while adhering to safety standards and the collective agreement.

The role requires a high school diploma, bilingual fluency in French and English, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Prior warehouse or customer service experience is preferred; forklift certification and various security trainings may be required.

Qualifications

Job description

DHL Express is looking for a Warehouse Associate (Exports) at their Lachine, QC location. You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages to serve our customers' needs to the best of our ability.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Wage: $19.70/hour, with increases as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

Responsibilities

• Use scanners (handheld, wrist, wand) to scan all waybills
• Handling of parcels and shipments
• Actively participate in Sort Operations
• Interact effectively and respectfully with other team members
• Prepare shipment labels and ensure proper packaging and paperwork are compliant to ship items
• Comply with the collective agreement
• Understanding of Customs Processes in preparation of Import/Export declarations
• Coordinate shipment transfers by communicating with Service Centre Operations
• Demonstrate exemplary behavior at all times, promote respect in the workplace and follow all required health and safety measures
• Any other task assigned

• Has or is able to obtain a Forklift certification
• Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) as per Transport Canada Standards
• Ability to obtain Airside Training, SABLE certification, AVOP, and X-Ray Certification
• Must successfully complete online and OJT X-Ray certification
• Must successfully complete online and OJT Physical Inspection certification
• Must successfully complete online and OJT ETD certification
• Must successfully complete online ACR certification
• Minimum one year warehouse or customer service experience
