Job summary

Air Inuit in Kuujjuaq is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team. Responsibilities include organizing the warehouse, loading and unloading aircraft, and preparing flight documents. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, be bilingual, and be available for evening and weekend shifts.

A rotational schedule of 15 days on and 13 days off is implemented, with accommodations and meals provided during rotations. The role emphasizes safety and operational effectiveness in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English/Inuktitut or French/Inuktitut or French/English.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure in a physically challenging environment.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Available to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the warehouse in a functional manner.
  • Prepare and verify loads.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of the aircraft.
  • Prepare flight documents related to cargo.
  • Receive and distribute cargo.
  • Operate the forklift.
  • Be fully trained to replace the cargo agent.
  • Participate in the training of staff.
  • Assist in the de-icing of aircraft.
  • Perform other duties to ensure operational effectiveness.

  • Receive and distribute cargo.
  • Operate the forklift.
  • Be fully trained to replace the cargo agent.
  • Participate in the training of staff under supervision.
  • Assist in the de-icing of aircraft.
  • Perform all other duties deemed necessary by the company to ensure operational effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual in English/Inuktitut or French/Inuktitut or French/English.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure in a physically challenging environment.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Available to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Rotational schedule: 15 days on and 13 days off. Air transport from Montreal, accommodation, and meals are covered by the company for each rotation. The employee will be recognized as having no designated base.
