Job summary

Air Inuit is seeking a Warehouse Agent in Puvirnituq to manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing and shipping merchandise. The role involves load preparation, cargo handling, and assisting with aircraft loading and unloading while maintaining safety standards.

The position requires a high school diploma and bilingual skills (English/Inuktitut or French/Inuktitut or French/English). Rotational schedule with 15 days on and 13 days off; travel from Montreal, accommodations

Responsibilities

• Organize warehouse layout and ensure equipment operates correctly.

• Assist with loading/unloading aircraft as needed.
• Prepare flight documents related to cargo.
• Receive and distribute cargo shipments.
• Operate the forklift in daily operations.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Warehouse Agent at Air Inuit, you will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations in Puvirnituq. You will play a role in the reception, storage and shipment of merchandise.

THE ROLE IN DEPTH

• Organize the warehouse in a functional manner and ensure the proper functioning of the equipment;
• Load preparation and load verifications;
• Assist, when necessary, in the loading and unloading of the aircraft;
• Help prepare all flight documents related to cargo;
• Cargo reception and distribution;
• Operate the forklift

WHAT SETS YOU APART

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Bilingual (English/Inuktituk) or (French/Inuktituk) or (French/English);
• Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure in a physically challenging environment;
• Hold a valid driving license;
• Available to work evenings, nights and weekends;
• If the position is not filled locally, the candidate will be considered as having no specific base.

COMPENSATION

• Salary and benefits are determined according to company policy.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Rotational position: 15 days on and 13 days off
• Air transport from Montreal as well as accommodation and meals are covered by the company for each rotation.
• The employee will be recognized as not having a designated base.
