Job summary

Level Up Music School is seeking energetic, rockstar-style teachers to inspire kids and adults alike. You’ll deliver engaging piano lessons across pop, rock, and contemporary genres, while mentoring students and focusing on long-term growth.

Ideal candidates bring strong versatility, collaboration, and a passion for making music fun. A full-time schedule with onboarding and ongoing training is provided, plus year-round pay and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Able to engage and inspire children across ages
• Demonstrates high energy and creativity in lessons
• Comfortable teaching multiple genres (pop, rock, R&B, etc.)
• Strong collaboration and willingness to mentor students long-term
• Available Mon-Fri 2–9 PM and Sat 10 AM–4 PM

Responsibilities

• Teach kids and teens in a rockstar style across genres
• Mentor students and support long-term growth and retention
• Contribute to a collaborative teaching environment with staff
• Utilize ready curriculum while bringing own style and ideas
• Participate in ongoing onboarding and teacher training

Job description

• Loves working with kids and makes every lesson feel like a party
• Can teach piano like a rockstar
• Is full of energy, creativity, and knows how to make music fun
• Wants to be more than a teacher, they want to be a mentor and someone kids look up to
• Ability to teach adults is a huge plus
• Can handle a little fog machine, lights, huge screens… maybe even a camera crew

We lean contemporary, everything from Taylor Swift to Metallica—and our concerts are an experience students (and parents) will never forget.

A few things you’ll need:

• Availability Mon-Fri, 2–9 PM, Saturday 10 AM-4 PM because that’s when our students are ready to rock
• Strong stylistic versatility: You’re comfortable teaching modern (Pop, Rock, R&B, etc.). Bonus if you can also teach classical foundations, jazz basics, or contemporary improvisation.
• A collaborative mindset: You work well with colleagues, respect structure, and contribute positively to a shared teaching environment. Ready to continuously learn and grow no matter your years of experience.
• Focus on long-term student growth + retention: You take pride in keeping students engaged, motivated, and excited to return each week.
• A big heart and a love for mentoring kids through music and life
