Job summary

Haakon Industries Ltd. in Kingston, ON is seeking a Wall Assembler to fabricate, insulate and assemble wall panels for air handling units in a manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and work rotating early morning and afternoon shifts. Starting wage is $21.80 to $30.00 per hour based on experience, with full-time, year-round employment and comprehensive benefits. Opportunities for training and advancement are available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of construction experience (preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of skilled labour experience (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements.
  • Physically demanding work required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Panel Fabrication: Construct and assemble wall panels according to specifications, following blueprints to ensure accuracy and structural integrity
  • Insulation Application: Apply insulation materials and lining to panels
  • Measurement and Precision: Use measuring tools to ensure precise cuts, alignments and assembly
  • Tool Use: Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, including drills and fastening devices
  • Independent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Wall Assembler in the Wall Department. This team is responsible for fabricating, insulating and assembling wall panels for air handling units.

What We’re Looking For:
Experience

Job Details:

Job Type: Full-time, Indoor

Location: Kingston, ON (On-Site)

Starting Wage: $21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Shift Schedule:
  • Rotating early mornings and afternoon shifts
    • Monday – Friday: 5:45 am – 2:15 pm
    • Monday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 12:30 am
  • Every other Friday off
  • Weekend shifts not required
  • Occasional overtime available based on production requirements
