Job summary

Aramark Canada, in Kingston, is hiring part-time servers and bartenders for the University Club. You will take orders, serve food and drinks, and create memorable guest experiences. The role emphasizes safety, proper alcohol service, and a willingness to learn. Training may be provided for Food Handling and Smart Serve where required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Banquet Server or similar hospitality role preferred.

• Must stand for long periods and lift items as required.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We are hiring for part-time servers/bartenders at the University Club with Aramark Canada.

Job Responsibilities

• Serves food and beverage to guests according to guests orders and/or banquet menu
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during event
• Replenishes food and beverage product
• Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking guests’ identification
• Provides excellent customer service, anticipating guests’ needs
• Breaks down and cleans/sanitizes food service areas, workstations, and equipment
• Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Banquet Server or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Must follow the required dress code as assigned
• Must be able to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required, Smart Serve Certification is an assest
  
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $21.70 - $21.70.
