Job summary

TD is seeking a strategic executive to lead the Risk Business Management and Governance function in Toronto. As Vice President, you will align strategy with planning, finance, operations and governance to strengthen execution, transparency and accountability across Risk Management.

Qualifications

  • Significant progressive leadership experience in business management, strategy, finance, operations, governance, risk management or enterprise transformation.
  • Experience leading integrated business planning, executive reporting, scorecards and management routines in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, expense oversight, investment governance and performance analysis.
  • Experience with workforce analytics, organizational planning, business operations, communications, colleague engagement and workplace coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of governance disciplines, including monitoring and testing, issue management, change governance, regulatory programs, business continuity, policy frameworks and data stewardship.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information, identify themes and trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations to senior executives.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to influence, constructively challenge and build alignment across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong executive communication, organizational awareness and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.
  • Inclusive leadership skills and a commitment to creating an environment where people with different backgrounds and perspectives can contribute and succeed.
  • A post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Risk Management strategy and annual planning, translating priorities into clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee transformation priorities and investments, supporting prioritization, sequencing and funding decisions.
  • Manage the Risk scorecard, consolidating performance measures and outcomes for executive review.
  • Provide integrated business insights and recommendations to support strategic trade-offs and resource allocation.
  • Lead performance reporting and workforce analytics to inform capacity and trends.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, expense management and financial performance including variance analysis.
  • Lead business operations and administrative services enabling efficient execution across the function.
  • Oversee communications, colleague engagement and workplace requirements in partnership with enterprise teams.
  • Establish policy frameworks and operating guidance clarifying requirements and ownership.
  • Lead governance disciplines spanning monitoring and testing, issue management and regulatory programs.
  • Oversee Business Continuity Management and data governance, including policy and data quality.
  • Create an integrated view of strategy, financials, operations, governance and execution to strengthen accountability.
  • Build effective partnerships across Risk and enterprise functions to influence outcomes.
  • Develop an inclusive, high-performing environment where diverse perspectives are valued.
