Job summary

Aviva Canada seeks a Senior Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management to lead risk strategy and governance across insurance and financial risk. You will partner with senior leadership to ensure robust risk oversight, governance, and culture, driving threat assessment, capital adequacy, and risk analytics to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive risk leadership within insurance/financial services.
• Deep expertise in Enterprise Risk Management, governance, ORSA, stress testing, capital management.
• Experience engaging with Boards, Board Risk Committees, and regulators (OSFI or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise risk leadership and strategy with Risk Management Framework.
• Provide independent, commercially focused risk insight to support strategic decisions and value creation.
• Oversee risk governance, oversight, and risk culture to stay within appetite.
• Report to Executive Committee, Board Risk Committee, and ACAN Board on risk exposures and effectiveness.
• Drive evolution of risk analytics and quantitative capabilities to support decision making.
