Aboutthe Role
Reporting to theExecutive Director, the inaugural Vice President, Operations will serve as akey member of the senior leadership team, responsible for strengthening SCCSS’soperational capacity to advance its mission and enhance service outcomes. Thisrole will provide strategic and operational support to the Executive Directorby ensuring that core systems, structures, and processes are aligned,effective, and positioned to meet the growing and evolving needs of theorganization. With a mandate to lead operational modernization and fostercross-functional integration, the Vice President will play a critical role inenabling the organization to deliver high-quality, client-centered servicesthrough efficient, scalable, and sustainable practices. This role requires aleader who brings both a strong command of operational best practices and thechange management skills necessary to guide the organization through keytransitions—all while reinforcing a culture of care, accountability, andcollaboration.
The ideal candidatewill bring extensive senior leadership experience in complex, multi-service,community-based or social service organizations, with a particular emphasis onoperational transformation, quality improvement, and organizational change. Theywill have demonstrated success in modernizing systems and processes acrossfunctional areas such as Finance, IT, Facilities, Risk Management, andCommunications, and in aligning these operations with strategic objectives andservice delivery goals. The successful candidate will possess expertise incompliance, accreditation, privacy legislation, and nonprofit governance, andwill be skilled in fostering cross-organizational cohesion and continuousimprovement. Above all, the Vice President will be a trusted partner to theExecutive Director, complementing and supporting their leadership bystrengthening the internal infrastructure needed to deliver exceptional,equitable, and responsive services to the community.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual energizedby leading at the strategic and operational level, identifying criticalpriorities and providing sound counsel to the Executive Director.
