Our reputable client in the automotive sector is seeking an accomplished marketing leader to take full ownership of the Consumer Marketing function in the organization.
This is a rare chance to lead a nationally known brand with significant resources and visibility. We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Vice President who can elevate consumer marketing to new heights, drive audience growth, and deliver measurable impact for both users and business partners.
This is a hybrid role, based in downtown Toronto.
About the Role :
The Vice President of Consumer Marketing will oversee the entire B2C marketing ecosystem, including :
Brand Strategy & Communications – Oversight of brand marketing, public relations, social media, and podcast development
Creative Production – Direction and management of creative output through both agency partners and internal teams
Paid Media – Execution and optimization of campaigns across TV, out-of-home, digital video, display, paid search, and app install efforts (hybrid of in-house and agency management)
Retention Marketing – Email campaigns and remarketing strategies
Content & SEO – Editorial leadership and organic growth strategy
Consumer Research & Competitive Intelligence – Understanding the market, audience behavior, and key competitors
Leading a team of 8, the VP will focus on expanding a high-intent consumer audience and maximizing performance across marketing channels to drive engagement, conversions, and value for dealer and OEM stakeholders.
Key Success Metrics :
Brand awareness, familiarity, and consideration
Growth in unique users, site visits, vehicle detail page views (VDPs), and lead generation
Market share versus competitors
Internal team engagement and satisfaction
Responsibilities :
Lead and optimize all paid consumer advertising efforts
Shape brand strategy and creative direction
Oversee SEO, CRM, and site-driven lifecycle marketing initiatives
Conduct ongoing consumer and market research
Manage external agencies and key vendor relationships
Partner closely with internal departments such as Product and Sales to ensure alignment and support
Ideal Candidate Profile :
15+ years in consumer marketing, with senior-level leadership experience
Strong background in all core areas : brand, paid media, SEO, and retention
Experience leading marketing teams of 10 or more
Post-graduate education in marketing or a related field is an asset
Bilingual in English and French is a plus, though not required
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
Influential and strategic thinker with the ability to navigate complex organizations
