The Borgen Project is an international organization working to improve living conditions for those affected by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience, the organization has supported legislation benefiting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.

Nonprofit Leadership Program

This role offers insight into leading and developing a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, unpaid, remote program of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. Participants can complete it sooner if they wish.

Program Focus Areas
  1. Advocacy Leadership Development: Engage with government representatives, represent The Borgen Project at various events, and mobilize support for poverty-reduction legislation.
  2. Fundraising Development: Learn fundraising skills, create campaigns, and meet targets.
  3. Recruitment: Update job postings, inform groups about openings, and participate in interviews.
  4. Marketing and Promotion: Pitch stories to media, utilize social media, and develop web messaging strategies.

No prior experience is required. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.

This is an unpaid opportunity, with college credit available. Programs start monthly; you choose your start date.
