What is the opportunity? Responsible for applying appropriate vocational and rehabilitation expertise to support the adjudication department, including the effective utilization of vendors to deliver quality, cost-effective, and superior client service.
What will you do?
- Manage a diverse caseload of Return To Work focused files.
- Coach and mentor claims adjudicators on rehabilitation practices and procedures.
- Research, plan, develop, implement, and monitor vocational rehabilitation to facilitate risk management and return to work for disability claims.
- Complete thorough and objective assessments, accurately document information, and deliver quality, cost-effective rehabilitation work within established standards.
- Ensure effective vendor utilization to maintain cost-effectiveness and appropriate risk management activities.
- Partner proactively with claim adjudicators, doctors, and rehabilitation specialists to deliver effective service solutions.
What will you need to succeed? Must Have
- Post-secondary education.
- 5 years of proven clinical experience in occupational health, rehabilitation, case management, industrial disability management, worker’s compensation, psychiatric, cardiac, emergency care, or orthopedic nursing.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask and balance multiple goals and priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Teamwork, including well-developed collaborative and persuasive skills.
- Ability to deal professionally with customers with a high degree of customer service.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, PowerPoint, or similar.
Nice to Have
- CVRP or RRP designation.
- Bilingual in French is an asset.
